INTRODUCTION Raw lanolin (wool grease) is a natural substance secreted by sheep to provide a protective coating on their fleece for life in harsh conditions. Once the sheep have been shorn, the fleece undergoes a scouring and refining process to extract the lanolin and to clean the fleece.
At Prolan we use a specialized process to convert raw wool grease into a range of non-toxic, environmentally friendly products that is affordable and easy to apply. These products have a wide range of applications from general industrial lubrication and preservation, to the protection of metals and electronics from corrosion and wear.

PRODUCT RANGE

Heavy Grade – Use in highly corrosive areas, Marine-trailers, accessories; heavy machinery-backhoes, excavators, cranes, container lifters, bobcats, forklifts, concrete trucks and pumps. Fertilizer sheds, equipment, chains, Rollers, pulleys, winches, twist locks and springs. Wire ropes fittings, cables, drag lines. Cutting and drilling compound.

Medium Grade – Machinery, undercarriage of vehicles. Frees up seized objects. Fishing rods, reels and accessories. Guns. Dies being stored outdoors, electrical ECUS, alternators, autopilots, ignition systems, switchgear, battery terminals and connectors. Stadium seating. Fiberglass and plastics- buff or polish up.

Light Grade – preservation and short-term storage protection whilst being in transit via road, sea and air. Parts dipping. Protects tools, parts and accessories, dies, lathes and other machinery stored indoors. Helps to free up and penetrate seized parts. Excellent anti-splatter for welding.

Grease – Use in all areas an anti-seize or grease is required. Seals and preserves plastic, metal and rubber hose fittings. Agriculture and aquaculture - food processing, abattoir and manufacturing environments. (See above approvals). Coats nuts, Bolts, thread rods, assembling of infrastructure-electricity, telephone poles, wharves, jetties. Wire ropes, cables, twist locks, chains, links, and assemblies. Communications/telecommunications equipment.

NB: Not recommended for High-speed bearings.

APPLICATION METHODS

All blends of Prolan products are very easy and safe to apply. Where possible remove any rust, scale or other surface coating. SHAKE product well before use.

For best results apply to a clean and dry surface by spraying or wiping. Allow time for the Prolan to penetrate into surface and for the carrier to completely evaporate before use.

It is best to apply Prolan onto a heated metal surface, for maximum penetration and protection (a hot day is suitable).

Prolan can be buffed or polished into surfaces, providing a smooth finish and reduced tackiness.
